As one of the worlds pioneer sperm banks, ICI provides one of the highest quality andrology labs and frozen sperm banking programs ever made available to physicians and their patients. To date patients have delivered over 4,000 babies utilizing our anonymous donor specimens.
International Cryogenics has facilities available for collection, freezing, long and short term storage of sperm samples. Patients bank their sperm for many reasons. They may be having cancer treatments that may result in an involuntary loss of fertility due to chemotherapy, radiation treatments, or a surgical procedure that may render them sterile or sub-fertile. Sperm banking is also a great option for clients that are planning a vasectomy, undergoing male to female reassignment surgery/hormone therapy and many others that wish to preserve their fertility for future use.
All specimens are frozen, stored and shipped in liquid nitrogen (-196ºc) for maximum integrity. When specimens are stored in this manner they can be stored indefinitely. This is crucial for patients that don't plan to use their specimens for an extended period of time and for the preservation of their future fertility.
